Dec 2019 & total 2019 sales data in...we're on an Upward trend. Lack of available listings and people are feeling more confident in buying is the apparent reasons for it.
The market in mid-2017 took a nosedive because of the 15% foreign buyers tax...so they're buying in Quebec and Windsor...or anywhere OUT of the Golden Horseshoe area.
Go look for yourself...those areas are booming.
The GTA isn't booming as it did pre-mid-2017, but there's so many bidding wars going on in Toronto...especially condos, that you'd think that we were in early 2017.
I obviously can't predict what will happen...but if you look at the averages in the report, you can see an upward trend happening and I believe that it will continue going forward.
For the long-term home buyer...it doesn't matter because if you're in your home 5 years or more, slight up and down markets will not really affect you.
If Spring does Heat-Up with bidding wars...and you're going to be in the market to buy. My suggestion might be to buy earlier than later. Spring historically is always more heated anyway. Why would any buyer want to be in a bidding war if they can prevent it?
